The CMR and Safety

Saturday January 31, the Training centre of the CMR was closed. The reason, the two instructors, Steve Marshall and Serge Delabarde were at a training course “Instruction in Safety” organized by the Comité Régional d’Aéromodélisme Poitou-Charentes.

The morning was occupied admiring on the ground and in flight, some beautiful machines dating for the majority, from the Fifties. It was also the occasion to meet other model makers and to exchange points of view and information with them.

It was in the airport buildings of Niort-Souché that the President of CRAM, François Venec gave a Powerpoint presentation of the “Safety” package worked out by the FFAM.

One can always ask oneself, the interest in this kind of presentation; in addition to it is essential to validate certain functions of officials or inspectors (QPDD, wings and certificates, etc…) and the various functions of trainers. I think for my part, as a club President that a refresher course, from time to time, does no harm and hopefully not to see on our grounds, the situations that were presented to us and the consequences that resulted from them.

This presentation was made following a meeting of the Management Committee of the CRAM that Yoann Charon attended there in his function as Spokesman for the VCC, which he was charged with at the last AGM of the CRAM.

One can never be too careful!
